This website simply beggars description, it should be declared a National Treasure by the American Government in my view, as not only does it have a truly overwhelming collection of free texts, books and other publications that you may download at no cost, it also harbours an enormous collection of films, old TV, radio programs and other stuff that one may also download for free.
Further it has links to a huge variety of related websites, such as Public Libraries which have eBooks, other collections of eBooks on the web, music, ....... It goes on for ever.
It isn't the easiest site to navigate in, not surprisingly when one considers the amount of material they have lurking in their back rooms, but perseverance pays of handsomely here.
All I shall say here is please go and check it out, since whatever your interests, I am sure you will find something there that meets your requirements.

As I ask on most of my posts here, if anyone has survived a visit to this enormous site, and managed to return to the real world without dying of thirst or hunger before being able to tear themselves away, would feel like adding his or her comments about what they found there I would be very pleased to see it, as would other visitors to this blog.
